Climbing at Fairburn

There are many different types of rock throughout Scotland. With this variety Scotland offers some of the best climbing routes that provide a great selection of routes matching to your climbing style. Whether you are looking for some easy fun day routes or you are looking for something more challenging, Scotland has it all here.

Mountain Cliffs

Mountain cliffs provide some of the longest climbing routes from medium to hard grades for climbing. Popular routes include:
Glen Coe, Ben Nevis, the red & black Cuillin on the Isle of Skye and Cir Mhor & Rosa slabs on the Island of Arran.

Outcrop Crags

Scotland has numerous crags that are well documented, easy to access and with varying grades and heights. Popular crags include creag dubh and Diabieg near Torridon in the north of Scotland.

Bouldering

Glen Nevis have some great bouldering problems ranging from easy (VB) to some very hard V14s. Our personal favourite bouldering problems is the celtic jumble just a short jaunt from Torridon Village.
